Chester Round The Walls Race

The race follows the best path to appreciate the city walls and is approximately 6km in length. The route takes in a lap of the racecourse followed by a full lap around the walls before returning to the racecourse for the finish.

The race starts with a lap around the perimeter of the racecourse and then joins the riverside path. The runners will then cross Castle Drive to join the historic city walls for an anti-clockwise lap, passing over the iconic Eastgate clock before returning to the Racecourse via the steps from Nuns Road. After passing in front of the grandstand the race finishes on the grass in the centre of the Roodee.
