The Chapelton of Elsick 10K takes place at Chapelton near Newtonhill in Aberdeenshire. First held in 2018, the event follows an undulating multi terrain route through the scenic Elsick House estate, with all profits supporting local charities and community organisations.

The predominantly tarmac course combines estate roads with farm tracks and a short grass section, creating a varied 10K through attractive countryside. Starting and finishing near Hume Square in Chapelton, the route includes rolling terrain and remains open to traffic, with runners required to follow marshal instructions throughout.

The race is held under ARC Rules with professional chip timing provided by Perfect Timing. Water stations, first aid, baggage storage and refreshments help create a well organised race day, while all finishers receive a unique medal and commemorative memento in a welcoming community atmosphere.
