Cate's Run is a 10K multi terrain run and walk starting and finishing at The Chauncy School in Ware, Hertfordshire. The event is held in memory of Cate Stevens-Dewey and raises funds and awareness for Papyrus, with all profits donated to the charity.
The mostly flat course comprises two 5K loops through the surrounding countryside, with a couple of inclines and a scenic section alongside the River Lea. The route uses public footpaths and includes a towpath section and one stile. It is fully signed and marshalled, with water available at halfway and at the start and finish.
Runners and walkers aged 16 and over are welcome, with participants given up to two hours and 30 minutes to complete the course. The event is timed and all finishers receive a Cate's Run medal and Papyrus wristband. Facilities at The Chauncy School include toilets, changing rooms and hot showers.
