Dalby Forest Canicross Runners

Dalby Forest's Gone To The Dogs!

The world of Canicross returns to Dalby Forest this March, we've all the details here...

Paws, feet and treats at the ready as the popular Canicross returns to Dalby Forest on Sunday 6 March with a brand new course for 2022.

This Canicross event is a great opportunity for everyone with a dog to try something new with runners able to choose from a 5K or 10K route through the beautiful forest. Whether you're a pooch-running pro or more of a novice when it comes to racing with your four-legged friend, all abilities (both dog and human) are welcome.

Dalby Forest is located on the southern slopes of the North York Moors National Park covering over 8,000 acres of woodland including cycle routes, play areas, barbecues and plenty of cycling and walking trails. So, why not head along for a run with your canine buddy then stay a while longer to enjoy all the scenic location has to offer?

If you've always fancied giving this a go, previous participants commented that they found the Canicross fun and enjoyable, with all of them delighted to have a fun activity to bond with their dog over. The chance to meet new people is also cited as a bonus, with one entrant saying: "It’s a small world really, when you are out running with dogs, you get to know people."
