The Cademuir Rollercoaster is organised by Moorfoot Runners and features two short but challenging hill races on Cademuir Hill, on the southern side of Peebles in the Scottish Borders.
Both races tackle the open grassy slopes of Cademuir, with substantial climbing packed into short distances. The 3K course climbs 105m, while the 6K packs 274m of ascent into just 6K, creating the testing rollercoaster profile that gives the event its name.
The races are held under UK Athletics rules as a Scottish Athletics licensed event. The 3K contributes to the Scottish Athletics U12 and U14 Junior Hill Running Leagues, while the 6K features in the U16, U18 and U20 leagues. Prizes are available for senior and age-category winners.
Race number collection takes place at Peebles High School Sports Hall before runners make their way to Cademuir Hill for the start.
