The route follows the West Highland Way before joining the Great Glen Way, creating an unforgettable point to point challenge through the heart of the Scottish Highlands.
The fully waymarked course covers approximately 170 miles with around 24,000 feet of ascent, passing lochs, forests, mountains and glens on its journey north. Competitors must complete the West Highland Way section within the event cut off before continuing towards Inverness, with checkpoints, drop bag support and live tracking provided throughout the race.
Open only to experienced ultrarunners who have previously completed races of 70 miles or more, By Way of The Glen is one of Scotland's most demanding endurance events, offering a true test of physical resilience, navigation and determination across some of the country's most spectacular landscapes.
