The Serpentine Last Friday of the Month 5K is a long established monthly road race held in London's Hyde Park. Open to runners from any club as well as unattached runners, the event starts and finishes beside the Boathouse on the northern side of the Serpentine.
Runners complete two laps of the measured Hyde Park course, with a flat profile providing good conditions for testing speed over 5K. The race is held under UK Athletics rules and has a certified course measurement, with marshals positioned around the route and a 35 minute cut off.
Held throughout the year, the Last Friday 5K provides a regular opportunity to race a measured 5K in central London and track performances across the season. Results are published after each race, with an age graded league based on runners' best performances across the series.
