The Brent Knoll Multi Terrain Race is an annual event organised by Burnham-on-Sea Harriers in Somerset. Forming the final fixture of the Somerset Series, it attracts runners looking for a challenging off road race with a distinctive hilltop route.
The approximately 6 mile course starts at BASC Sports Ground and follows footpaths, bridleways and quiet country roads towards Brent Knoll. Runners tackle a steep climb to the summit, complete a partial circuit of the hilltop and descend back towards Burnham-on-Sea. Muddy trails, uneven surfaces and sharp descents make suitable trail footwear essential.
All finishers receive a commemorative medal, with prizes for leading runners and age category winners. The sports ground provides parking, toilets, changing facilities and refreshments, with drinks available after the race. The Somerset Series presentations traditionally follow the event.
