Organised by RunThrough Trails, Brecon Beacons Trails takes place in the Brecon Beacons National Park, starting from the village of Talybont-on-Usk in Powys. The event offers two trail challenges: a 24K mountain trail and a 51K ultra distance route, taking runners through some of Wales' most dramatic landscapes.
The routes explore reservoirs, forestry tracks, open moorland and mountain ridges, with panoramic views towards Pen y Fan, Cribyn and the surrounding Black Mountains. The 24K route features approximately 667m of elevation gain, while the longer 51K course provides a more demanding mountain challenge.
The event includes marked trail routes, GPX support, chip timing, race photos, aid stations, a themed finisher medal and post-race refreshments. The race is licensed under the Trail Running Association and follows UKA rules.
