Breaking The Laws 30K is a mixed terrain challenge starting and finishing in North Berwick. The course covers 30K with around 640m of ascent, using a mixture of roads, trails and hill sections through the East Lothian countryside.
Runners follow the John Muir Way from North Berwick to East Linton before heading towards the first major climb at Traprain Law. After returning to East Linton, the final leg heads back towards North Berwick and tackles North Berwick Law before reaching the finish.
The 30K can be completed individually or as a three person relay, with each section forming a natural relay leg. A separate 10K walk provides another way to take part, while the event supports Scottish Veterans Residences and honours the Scottish Commandos.
