The Durty Trail Weekender is organised by Durty Events and takes place at Bowhill Country Estate near Selkirk in the Scottish Borders. Offering 5K, 10K, 25K and 50K distances, the event brings together a varied programme of off road running through the estate and surrounding Border Hills.
The 5K Durty Dash provides the shortest introduction to the trails, while the 10K Weekend Wanderer combines forest tracks with open hill views. The 25K Hill Hopper adds tougher climbs and descents, and the 50K Hills & Horizons is the event's ultra distance challenge, featuring sustained climbing and expansive views across the Borders. Routes use a mixture of hard packed paths and muddy trails, with increasingly demanding terrain as the distances increase.
All races are chip timed and professionally organised, with marked courses, marshals and medical support. The wider weekend atmosphere includes camping at Selkirk Rugby Club, live music and refreshments, allowing runners and supporters to make more of their visit.
Combining four trail distances with beautiful estate scenery and the rolling Border Hills, the Durty Trail Weekender offers everything from an accessible 5K to a challenging 50K ultra in one of southern Scotland's most attractive trail running locations.
