The Bottoms Up Cup is organised by Washington Running Club and is a popular summer evening 5K taking place in and around Princess Anne Park in the heart of Washington. The event also includes a 1 mile fun run, creating an enjoyable evening of running for competitors of different ages and abilities.
The multi terrain course has evolved over the years into a faster, more flowing route while retaining the event's trademark hills and trail sections. Predominantly run on paved paths with sections of off road terrain, it offers an enjoyable challenge for both competitive club runners and recreational participants.
With chip timing, prizes for leading runners and veteran categories, a welcoming club atmosphere and a well supported community setting, the Bottoms Up Cup continues to be a popular fixture in the North East summer running calendar.
