Bonfire Burn 10K 2019

It's that time of year. The nights are drawing in and we're looking ahead to Halloween and Bonfire Night. And Cambridgeshire runners are particularly anticipating a late autumn favourite – the Bonfire Burn 10K on Sunday 3 November.

Now in its ninth year, this event organised by The Friends of Histon and Impington Recreation Ground is a unique blend of warm community spirit and big race excitement generated by 1,000 runners.

Runners register as the village Salvation Army band plays in the background and later enjoy support around the course from enthusiastic marshals and local residents alike.

The multi-terrain course passes along the northern country fringe of Cambridge and is flat providing a great opportunity to nail a PB.

The 10K is organised by the village charity which has a reputation for organising quality community events including that other local favourite, the Flaming June Half & Quarter marathon.

Minumum age for the event is 13 on day of running and all runners receiving a quality medal memento of the race.
