The Blackpool Summer Run is organised by Fylde Coast Runners and takes place on Blackpool Promenade. Offering both 5K and 10K distances, the event provides traffic free road racing on one of the UK's best known seafronts during the height of the summer running season.
The flat courses follow Blackpool's wide promenade on smooth tarmac, passing the iconic Blackpool Tower and enjoying uninterrupted views across the Irish Sea. The fast coastal layout provides consistent running conditions for runners chasing a personal best or simply enjoying a scenic seaside race.
Professional chip timing, marshals, water stations and clear route marking help deliver a well organised race day. All finishers receive a commemorative medal, with a welcoming atmosphere and the unique setting of Blackpool's famous promenade making this a popular fixture on the North West running calendar.
