The Blacka Moor Chase is organised by Totley AC and is Race 4 of the five race Totley AC Series. Held from Totley in Sheffield, the evening event forms part of the club’s annual series of off road races across the moorland surrounding the city.
The approximately 6.7K course starts at the Totley AC Pavilion before climbing onto Blacka Moor and Totley Moor. The trail route combines tarmac, woodland paths, technical descents and open moorland, with around 270 metres of ascent creating a challenging but rewarding race through the Peak District fringe.
The race is held under Fell Runners Association rules and benefits from experienced club organisation, marshals and post race facilities including changing rooms and showers. Prizes are awarded across open and age group categories, with series standings adding an extra competitive element.
