Organised by East Cheshire Harriers in partnership with the Local Runners Podcast, the Black Knight Charge takes place at Daisy Nook Country Park in Greater Manchester. The event features a challenging 6 Mile trail race alongside a 2 Mile Under 16s race for younger runners.
The course explores the Medlock Valley on a mixture of woodland tracks and paths, starting and finishing at the Daisy Nook basin area. Runners tackle a hilly route that loops around Park Bridge before returning through the country park, offering a varied and rewarding trail running experience.
The event is organised by an experienced local running club, with race headquarters based nearby at East Cheshire Harriers. Friendly marshals, a welcoming atmosphere and dedicated junior race help make the Black Knight Charge a popular fixture in the summer trail running calendar.
