The Bishopbriggs 5 Miler is a 5 mile trail race following an entirely off road course along the Forth and Clyde Canal and through Possil Marsh. Starting near Cadder Bridge, the route uses tarmac towpaths before looping through the nature reserve and returning to finish close to the Leisuredrome.
Organised by Springburn Harriers, the event is open to runners aged 15 and over and is held under Scottish Athletics licence. The course is marked at each mile, with marshals and first aid support throughout, and results are published shortly after the race.
The Bishopbriggs 5 Miler offers runners a fast and scenic off road challenge, combining canal towpaths with varied parkland trails to create a popular late summer race in the north of Glasgow.
