Birmingham Running Festival takes place within the extensive surroundings of Sutton Park in Sutton Coldfield. The programme features 5K, 10K and Half Marathon distances alongside a Junior Race, with the course exploring the historic roads, gravel paths and parkland of the 2,400 acre National Nature Reserve.
The races follow laps around Sutton Park, with one lap for the 5K, two for the 10K and four for the Half Marathon. Runners encounter a hilly course through varied park scenery, with each kilometre accurately marked and marshals positioned around the route to provide guidance and encouragement.
All three main distances feature chip timed results, giving runners an accurate record of their performance across the challenging Sutton Park course. Finishers receive a themed medal and post race goodies, with free race photography also included. The combination of several distances, varied surfaces and an established Birmingham running venue creates a lively morning of racing for a broad range of abilities.
