The Big Bertha Trail Run is a 12-hour timed trail challenge around Bertha Loch near Perth. Runners complete a fully marked 10K loop through varied trails around Bertha Loch and Almondbank, aiming to cover as many laps as possible within the time limit. Participants can run solo or enter as part of a team.
Organised by Wee Run Events, the event features chip timing, on-course water stations, free parking, medical support, refreshments at the finish and live results throughout the day. Prizes are awarded for the furthest distance covered, with finishers receiving a commemorative medal.
Big Bertha gives trail runners the flexibility to tackle anything from a single 10K lap to marathon, ultra marathon or greater distances over 12 hours. Its accessible looped format, supportive atmosphere and well organised trail course make it an excellent endurance challenge for runners of all abilities.
