The Bewl 15 & 5 Mile is organised by Wadhurst Runners and takes place around the picturesque surroundings of Bewl Water on the Kent and East Sussex border. Offering a choice of challenging 15 Mile and 5 Mile trail races, the event attracts runners of all abilities with its scenic routes and friendly club atmosphere.
The original 15 Mile race follows footpaths, lakeside trails and quiet country lanes around Bewl Water, including the beautiful nature reserve with panoramic views across the reservoir. The 5 Mile race shares the opening section before returning on an entirely off road route, providing a shorter but equally enjoyable trail running experience.
The event features chip timing, bespoke finisher's medals, commemorative T shirts, trophies, cash prizes and enthusiastic marshals throughout the course. Complimentary cake and a post race drink, together with a welcoming atmosphere and support for Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex, have made the Bewl 15 & 5 Mile a popular fixture in the South East trail running calendar.
