Bennachie Summer Series Race 3

The Bennachie Summer Series Race 3 is the third event in the Bennachie Summer Series, a four race programme of summer evening trail races held between May and August. Based at Bennachie Visitor Centre, the series welcomes runners aged 18 and over to enjoy challenging 5K trail running in the foothills of Bennachie.

The 5K course follows forest tracks around the base of Bennachie, with approximately 126 metres of elevation providing a fast but testing route through woodland scenery. The fully marked course starts and finishes at the visitor centre, allowing runners to compete for the day's results while improving their overall series standings, with the best three performances from the four races counting towards the final rankings.

Run under Scottish Hill Runners guidelines, the event features a fully marked course, race facilities at the visitor centre and prizes for the leading finishers across the series. Combining scenic forest running, friendly competition and its place within the Bennachie Summer Series, Race 3 is a popular fixture in the Aberdeenshire summer running calendar.
