Beat The Ferry 50K & Studland 25K

The Beat the Ferry is a coastal trail running event organised by Eightmile Events and based at Studland in Dorset. Offering 25K and 50K trail races, the event follows spectacular sections of the Jurassic Coast and Purbeck Hills, combining fast runnable trails with challenging coastal scenery.

Starting from Studland Beach, both fully marked routes follow an out and back course incorporating landmarks including Old Harry Rocks, the Purbeck Way, Corfe Castle and the South West Coast Path. The 50K features the event's unique Beat the Ferry challenge, where one specially selected runner starts at the back of the field and attempts to catch the rest of the runners before they reach the finish.

The event features professional chip timing, fully stocked aid stations, medical support, a central life base and a distinctive finisher's medal. Combining dramatic coastal scenery, well supported trail running and an original race format, Beat the Ferry offers one of the most distinctive trail running experiences on the Dorset coast.
