Beat Box Hill is a challenging trail running event on and around Surrey's iconic Box Hill, with 21K, 31K and 50K distances. The routes explore the varied landscape of the Surrey Hills, taking runners across ridgelines, through woodland and along a mixture of established paths and narrower trails.
Runners can expect substantial elevation across the hilly courses, with chalky climbs, flowing singletrack and woodland paths forming key parts of the challenge. Each route is marked with trail flags, tags, arrows and signage, while GPX files allow runners to check their position and self navigate if course markings are disrupted.
All three distances are chip timed, giving runners a choice between a shorter trail challenge and longer endurance distances over the hills. Box Hill's steep terrain, woodland and far reaching views create a demanding setting for experienced trail runners as well as confident runners stepping beyond road racing.
