Beacons Way Ultra 100K is a 100K trail ultramarathon that follows the Beacons Way through Bannau Brycheiniog National Park. Starting near Talybont, the route passes through spectacular mountain scenery including Pen y Fan and the Carmarthen Fans, with more than 3,100 metres of ascent across one of Wales' most iconic long distance trails.
The event is designed for experienced ultramarathon runners and requires competitors to navigate independently using a map and compass between six checkpoints. Live GPS tracking, dedicated event support and optional transport back to the start are provided, while eligible finishers can earn UTMB Performance Index and ITRA points. The race is also a Western States 2027 qualifying race for runners meeting the required finishing time.
