Beacons Trail Marathon, Half Marathon & Ultra

The Beacons Ultra, Marathon and Half Marathon take runners through the dramatic landscape of the Brecon Beacons, with three distances ranging from 13 miles to 50 miles. Routes use a varied mix of mountain terrain, trails, canal paths and roads, with conditions adding another dimension to the challenge.

Runners can choose the 50 mile Ultra for the toughest test, the 26 mile Marathon or the 13 mile Half Marathon. The routes explore the surrounding hills and valleys, with significant climbing and exposed sections requiring runners to be prepared for changing mountain weather. The event attracts everyone from experienced ultra runners to those tackling these distances for the first time.

Based at Talybont-on-Usk, the event has developed a reputation for a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere alongside its challenging courses.
