Beacon to Beach is a night trail running event in Somerset and the finale of the award winning Dark Skies Series. Offering 5K and 10K distances, the event combines challenging trail running with dramatic coastal scenery as runners make their way from the Quantock Hills to the Bristol Channel.
Starting near Bicknoller, the route follows established trails and tracks through the Quantock landscape before descending towards Kilve Beach. The course includes woodland sections, open hillside, undulating terrain and rewarding sea views, providing an engaging challenge for runners of all abilities. The 10K follows an extended route while the 5K offers a shorter but equally memorable night trail experience.
Running beneath the night sky with head torches lighting the way, participants enjoy a distinctive atmosphere as they travel from beacon to beach before finishing on Somerset's spectacular coastline. Combining varied terrain, natural beauty and the unique experience of night trail running, Beacon to Beach provides a memorable conclusion to the Dark Skies Series.
