Battersea Park Running Festival brings Marathon and Half Marathon racing to one of London’s best known parks, with both distances starting and finishing on the athletics track at the Millennium Arena. A junior race on the track gives younger runners the chance to take part in the event too.
The flat course follows laps around Battersea Park, with 11 laps for the Marathon and five for the Half Marathon. Runners follow the park’s tree lined paths before returning to the Millennium Arena for a track finish, creating a fast course well suited to runners targeting a strong time or personal best. Each kilometre is marked and both main races are chip timed.
The traffic free park setting creates a straightforward race experience in the heart of London, with marshals around the course and refreshments available at the event village. Finishers receive a themed medal, race photos and post race goodies.
