The Bath Skyline Night Race takes runners onto the trails high above Bath for 5K and 10K races after dark. The hilltop routes weave through woodland and open grass meadows, with glimpses of the illuminated city appearing between the trees and a distinctive nighttime atmosphere throughout.
Runners can choose a 5K or 10K trail route on a largely flat course with only a few gentle rises and falls. Underfoot conditions vary between solid stone paths, natural woodland trails and grass, with mud and puddles possible in November. Glow sticks, reflective signs and marshals mark the course, while runners bring their own head torch to light the way.
Both distances share the welcoming Bath Skyline event setting, with clearly marked routes designed to let runners focus on the experience of running the trails after dark. Finishers receive a colourful event medal along with water and a selection of snacks at the finish, while the 10K also has a drinks station on the course.
