The Balloch Castle Country Park 5K, 10K and Half Marathon are organised by Up and Running Events and take place within the beautiful surroundings of Balloch Castle Country Park on the southern shores of Loch Lomond. Offering three race distances, the event combines professionally organised racing with some of Scotland's most picturesque parkland scenery.
The courses follow a mixture of woodland trails and park paths on accurately measured loop routes through the country park. Runners enjoy sweeping views across Loch Lomond, mature woodland and open parkland, with the 5K completing one lap, the 10K two laps and the Half Marathon multiple laps of the scenic course.
The event features chip timing, bespoke finisher's medals, free race photography, post race goodies, kilometre markers and first aid support. Combining stunning lochside scenery, professional organisation and a choice of three distances, the Balloch Castle Country Park 5K, 10K and Half Marathon offer an enjoyable trail running experience for runners of all abilities.
