The Boston Half is a 13.1 mile road race organised by the Boston Athletic Association, starting and finishing in Franklin Park. The course takes runners through Boston, passing Arnold Arboretum, Jamaica Pond, Willow Pond and Olmsted Park before returning to Franklin Park.
Runners take on the classic half marathon distance on a scenic city course shaped by Boston's extensive park system. The route provides plenty of variety along the 13.1 miles, with established parkland, ponds and urban surroundings forming the backdrop to the race.
The Boston Half brings a large field of runners together for an autumn race through one of America's best known running cities. Its Franklin Park start and finish and route through some of Boston's distinctive green spaces give the event a strong sense of place.
