The Auchterarder 10K Chilli Trail Race is a Halloween themed trail event starting in Auchterarder and heading into the foothills of the Ochil Hills. Named after the distinctive chilli pepper shape traced by its route, the race explores varied terrain and countryside surrounding the town.
Runners tackle a mixture of surfaces including forest trails, steady climbs, fast descents and a couple of stream crossings along the 10K course. The combination of changing terrain and elevation provides a rewarding off road challenge, while the route also delivers extensive views across the surrounding landscape.
The event features chip timing, course marshals and no cut off time, allowing participants to run, jog or walk the route. All finishers receive a bespoke Chilli Trail Race medal and snood, with prizes for leading runners, age categories, local competitors and the best Halloween costumes.
