Race 3 of the Astley Park Trail Series is organised by Chorley Athletic and Triathlon Club and forms part of the popular summer trail running series in Astley Park. Held under UK Athletics rules, the series attracts runners of all abilities to enjoy competitive midweek trail racing in one of Lancashire's best loved parks.

The scenic course follows a varied mix of parkland paths, woodland trails and open green spaces, offering an enjoyable off road challenge in attractive surroundings. Junior races are held before each senior race, making the series a welcoming event for both families and club runners.

With a friendly atmosphere, excellent organisation and a rewarding trail course, Race 3 continues the Astley Park Trail Series tradition of providing accessible summer evening trail racing for the local running community and visitors alike.
