The Arrochar 10K is a varied multi terrain race through the countryside surrounding Arrochar and Loch Long. The route begins on a track before joining a forestry road, where the main climb of the race rewards runners with open views across Loch Long.
From the high point, runners continue along the forestry road before descending towards Ardgartan on a forest path. Further woodland running follows before the second half of the course heads along the lochside, with views towards Arrochar, Loch Long and the surrounding mountains creating a scenic finish to the route.
Organised by the Loch Long Jetty Association, the race is held under UK Athletics rules with a Scottish Athletics permit and chip timing. All finishers receive a medal, with category prizes followed by prize giving and homemade cakes at Arrochar Village Hall.
