The Anglesey Trail Half Marathon and 10K explore Newborough Forest and the spectacular coastline of Traeth Llanddwyn on the Isle of Anglesey. Both distances combine peaceful woodland with sandy coastal trails and expansive views towards the mountains of Eryri and the Llyn Peninsula.
The routes wind through the trees on forest tracks and single track trails before reaching the coast. The 10K includes sections of Llanddwyn Beach and a loop through the pine forest, while the Half Marathon ventures further through the surrounding woodland and onto Llanddwyn Island. Varied surfaces and gently changing elevation create an engaging trail running challenge.
Runners can choose between the 10K and Half Marathon, with both routes showcasing the distinctive mix of forest and coastline that makes Newborough such a memorable running location. The races are chip timed with live online results, while marshals, course signage and energy stations provide support around the routes. Finishers return to the event village to receive a specially designed event memento.
