The Alderley Park Trail 5 Mile is a summer evening trail race organised by Run North West, taking runners on a scenic two-lap course through the private grounds of Alderley Park in Cheshire. Starting outside the striking Glasshouse building, the route passes through woodland, around picturesque lakes, alongside a working farm and across beautiful parkland, offering an enjoyable mix of countryside scenery and runnable trails.
Licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules, the event welcomes runners looking for either a competitive race or a sociable off-road challenge. The fully marshalled course includes chip timing, free parking, baggage storage and a commemorative technical finisher's T-shirt, making it a popular fixture in the summer trail running calendar.
