Abington Run Fest is organised by the Great Abington Primary School PTFA and takes place in Cambridgeshire. The event includes a 10K, 5K and 2K Fun Run, raising funds for Great Abington Primary School while bringing together runners and the local community for a day of road racing.
The officially measured road courses are designed for fast running. The 10K heads through the villages of Great and Little Abington before returning to Granta Park, while the 5K follows a flatter route within the science park. All races finish beside the distinctive TWI aircraft, giving the event a recognisable and memorable finish.
Chip timing, accurately measured courses, water stations, bag storage, first aid and finisher medals are provided for the main races. Team prizes, refreshments and support from local volunteers help create a well organised race day with a friendly community atmosphere.
