The Abergele 5K and 10K are fast coastal road races based on the promenade at Abergele and Pensarn in North Wales. Both distances start and finish beside the coast, creating an accessible race setting for club runners, newer participants and anyone looking to test themselves over a shorter distance.
Designed with fast times in mind, the flat routes make the most of the promenade and surrounding coastal roads. Runners can choose between the 5K and 10K or complete both races on the same day, with separate start times providing the opportunity to take on the double. The minimal elevation and straightforward course make this a strong option for runners targeting a 5K or 10K personal best.
Both races are chip timed, with water available on the course and at the finish and professional medical support provided throughout the event. Finishers receive a bespoke medal and technical T-shirt, while prizes recognise the leading male and female runners and age category winners.
