The Yorkshireman Off Road Marathon & Half Marathon is a challenging fell running event based in Haworth, taking runners across the open moorland, trails and woodland of the surrounding West Yorkshire countryside.
The marathon covers 26.2 miles with around 3,065ft of ascent, while the shorter 14.8 mile race includes around 1,750ft of climbing. Routes are well marked, but runners should be prepared for exposed fell conditions and must carry the mandatory kit required under Fell Runners Association rules.
Organised by Keighley and Craven Athletics Club, the Yorkshireman is known for its welcoming atmosphere and well stocked feed stations. The marathon welcomes individuals and pairs, while the shorter race is for individual runners and provides an accessible introduction to longer distance fell running.
