New Trail Series For Yorkshire
New Yorkshire event promises scenic trails and coastal views...
The Yorkshire Coast Trail Series is set to make its debut in 2025, bringing an exciting rebrand to one of East Yorkshire’s most popular running fixtures. Formerly known as the Bridlington Multi Terrain Run and Sewerby 5K Sprint, the refreshed event will take place on 5 October and promises distances and challenges for all abilities.
From the scenic Beaconsfield Prom on Bridlington’s north bay, runners will set off on a choice of routes that showcase the very best of the coast and countryside. The 22K trail race offers the ultimate test, guiding participants through Sewerby, Danes Dyke and the dramatic headland at Flamborough before returning to the seafront for a spectacular finish.
For those seeking a shorter but equally rewarding challenge, the 10K trail follows a similar route through Sewerby and Danes Dyke, while the 5K sprint takes runners along the popular land train path to Sewerby before finishing on the promenade. Families are also invited to get involved with a one mile fun run on the prom itself.
Organisers comment: "The event has been designed to embrace the area’s natural beauty, with every step offering a mix of coastal trails, wooded paths and sea views. The series caters for everyone, whether participants are experienced trail runners chasing a new challenge, or first timers simply looking to soak up the atmosphere."
All finishers will receive a unique medal to mark their achievement, while spot prizes on the day will be provided courtesy of Wold Top Brewery.
