Yellow Belly Summer 50 Miler

The Summer 50 Miler is a 50 mile ultramarathon exploring the rolling countryside of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Starting and finishing at Swallow Village Hall, the circular route passes through rural villages, open farmland and scenic sections of the Viking Way, showcasing the varied landscapes of this part of Lincolnshire.

Runners take on approximately 1,370m of elevation across the 50 mile course, with sustained rolling terrain adding to the endurance challenge. Four fully stocked aid stations provide support at intervals along the route, while the generous 18 hour cut off makes the event accessible to runners attempting their first 50 mile ultramarathon as well as more experienced ultra runners.

With a field limited to 150 participants, the Summer 50 Miler maintains a relatively small scale atmosphere throughout the event. Runners who complete the full route within the cut off receive a bespoke Yellow Belly finisher's medal, providing a lasting reward for completing the 50 mile journey through the Lincolnshire Wolds.
