The Woodbury Common 10K Trail Run explores the open countryside of Woodbury Common in East Devon, providing a scenic off road challenge close to Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton. The route crosses an attractive landscape of heathland and countryside, with runners able to enjoy views towards the sea as they make their way around the course.
Runners tackle 10K of varied trail terrain where conditions can change considerably with the weather. Uneven and potentially muddy surfaces add to the challenge and give the race a distinctly off road character. The route is supported by marshals, with paramedic cover also provided to help runners throughout the event.
The event is organised by Lions Budleigh Salterton and has a friendly local race atmosphere, with medals awarded to all finishers and prizes for leading runners. Facilities include refreshments, toilets, changing rooms, showers, a water filling station, bag drop and parking, providing runners with useful support before and after their trail run.
