The Woodbridge Runway 5K and 10K offer a unique opportunity to race on the historic former RAF Woodbridge airfield in Suffolk. Open to runners of all abilities, the event combines a distinctive aviation setting with fast running conditions and a welcoming atmosphere.
The races take place on the airfield's iconic runway, once used by United States Air Force aircraft during the Cold War and now one of the longest former military runways in Europe. The flat course provides excellent PB potential while the open surroundings of grassland, woodland and expansive skies create a memorable race day experience. A 1.5K junior race also forms part of the event programme.
Combining running, local history and community fundraising, the Woodbridge Runway Run delivers a distinctive race experience while supporting the work of 432 (Woodbridge) Squadron RAF Air Cadets.
