The Royden Park race forms part of the four-race Wirral Multi-Terrain Series, which takes runners to different locations across the Wirral. The series is designed as a varied off-road challenge, with senior races covering distances between 6.5K and 8K and junior races also available.
The Royden Park course features a mixture of terrain including woodland paths, sandstone, hills and other natural surfaces. The challenging route includes climbs and descents, making it a good test of strength and off-road running skills. Runners must be capable of completing the course within one hour for safety reasons.
