The Wimbleball Lake Trail Races are part of the annual Wimbleball Sports Festival, offering 5K, 10K and canicross races on scenic off road trails around Wimbleball Lake in Exmoor National Park. Held on the Saturday of the festival weekend, the event welcomes runners and canicross competitors of all abilities to a professionally organised trail running experience.
The routes follow fully runnable trails through woodland, open countryside and alongside the shores of Wimbleball Lake, with spectacular views across one of Exmoor's most picturesque locations. The 10K completes a full lap of the course, while the 5K shares the opening section before returning to the finish, with both distances showcasing the area's varied terrain and natural scenery.
With professional chip timing, finisher's medals, event photography, camping, showers and excellent event facilities, the Wimbleball Lake Trail Races provide a memorable day of off road running. As part of the wider Wimbleball Sports Festival, runners can also enjoy a weekend celebrating triathlon, open water swimming and cycling in the heart of Exmoor National Park.
