The Whiting Bay Forest Trail Race is a five mile trail race on the Isle of Arran, starting near Glen Ashdale and climbing past the impressive Glen Ashdale Falls before heading onto forest trails and forestry roads above Whiting Bay. The route combines woodland paths, forest tracks and farm trails with only a short section on tarmac.
Runners are rewarded with sweeping views across Holy Isle and the Ayrshire coast before descending through the Fairy Glen and returning to Whiting Bay. The varied terrain and scenic island setting create a classic trail running experience in one of Arran’s most picturesque locations.
