The UWFRA Wharfedale 3 Peaks Challenge is a popular charity event organised by the Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association, offering three memorable routes through the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Starting and finishing in the picturesque village of Kettlewell, participants can choose between the demanding 17 mile Three Peaks Challenge, the 13.5 mile Two Peaks Challenge or a scenic 4.5 mile Valley Walk suitable for families.
The longer routes take runners and walkers over iconic Yorkshire Dales summits including Buckden Pike, Great Whernside and, on the full challenge, Firth Fell, rewarding participants with spectacular panoramic views across Upper Wharfedale. The Valley Walk follows the River Wharfe before returning via the beautiful Paradise Walk, providing a gentler way to experience the stunning landscape.
Entry includes event parking, refreshments after the finish and well stocked water stations on the longer routes. Every entry helps support the vital work of the Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association, making this a rewarding challenge that combines outstanding scenery with an important local cause.
