The Dave Jones Prom 5 Mile is a monthly road race held along the seafront in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset. Organised as part of a nine race series, the event attracts club runners and individuals looking to compete over a measured five mile distance, with views across the Bristol Channel.
Runners follow a flat, UKA certified course along the promenade between the Tropicana and Knightstone Island, completing two or three laps depending on the course layout. The level terrain makes it suitable for runners targeting a personal best, while the repeated laps provide a consistent route for those competing across the series.
The race starts at the Tropicana, with number collection at Revo on Marine Parade before the event. Results are submitted to Power of Ten, and individual category prizes and series awards recognise performances throughout the season. The regular race format gives runners an opportunity to track their progress across all nine events.
