The WHW & Ben Nevis Race is an extreme Ultra Marathon starting in Fort William with an ascent and descent of Ben Nevis before joining the full West Highland Way route to Milngavie. Covering around 107 miles, the course combines mountain terrain, lochside trails, moorland tracks and long distance footpaths across the Scottish Highlands.
Designed for highly experienced ultra runners, the route includes the climb of Britain’s highest mountain before continuing south along the West Highland Way. The event combines significant elevation, technical terrain and long hours on the trail, creating one of Scotland’s toughest endurance running challenges.
