The Trawden 7 is Trawden AC's flagship trail race, offering a scenic 7 mile challenge through the beautiful landscapes of Pennine Lancashire. Starting and finishing at Trawden Recreation Ground, the event also features a full programme of junior races, creating a popular family friendly day of running.
The trail route follows a varied mix of woodland paths, countryside trails and runnable tracks, passing the foothills of Boulsworth and travelling through the picturesque village of Wycoller. With approximately 450 feet of ascent, the course combines rewarding climbs, fast runnable sections and spectacular rural scenery, providing an enjoyable challenge for runners of all abilities.
Fully marshalled and organised under UK Athletics rules, the Trawden 7 combines excellent club organisation with a welcoming atmosphere. Junior races, local refreshments and community support add to the occasion, making it one of the highlights of the Lancashire trail running calendar.
