The Traprain Law Hill Race is a long established Scottish hill race held as part of the East Linton Gala. Taking place in the East Lothian countryside, the event offers a challenging 6.5 mile route centred around the distinctive volcanic hill of Traprain Law.

With around 220 metres of ascent, the course follows a mixture of trails, tracks, grassland and hillside terrain. Runners tackle the steep climb to the summit of Traprain Law before descending and returning through the surrounding countryside, with expansive views across East Lothian along the way.

Starting and finishing in East Linton, the race combines traditional hill running with a welcoming community atmosphere. Its mix of challenging terrain, historic surroundings and rewarding scenery has made the Traprain Law Hill Race a popular fixture on the Scottish hill racing calendar.
